Hot Open-faced Ham & Swiss

Preheat broiler.

In a small bowl whisk together:
   1 tablespoon mayonnaise
   1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
   1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh dill
   salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Set aside.

In a medium skillet over medium heat sauté until liquid is reabsorbed (about 5 minutes):
   1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced thin
   1 tablespoon olive oil

Place on a baking sheet:
   2 slices of rye bread, toasted

Divide and spread each piece on one side with the mayonnaise mixture.

Top each with:
   1 to 2 slices of HoneyBaked Ham
   1/2 of the mushroom mixture
   a thin slice of Swiss cheese

Top with thin rings from:
   1/2 small red onion

Broil the sandwiches about 4 inches from the heat for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and browned lightly..
