How To Serve A Honey Baked Ham
When serving a Honey Baked Ham, it’s important that the ham maintains its moist and tender qualities — whether served at room temperature (recommended) or served warm. Honey Baked Ham and Turkey Breasts are fully-cooked and ready to enjoy when pick up at your nearest HoneyBaked store, and is best served directly from the refrigerator.
Serve at Room Temperature
Honey Baked Ham® and Turkey Breasts are fully cooked and ready to enjoy. For the very best flavor, take the Ham or Turkey Breast out of the refrigerator to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate unused portions immediately.
We recommend that you do not heat your Honey Baked Ham or Turkey Breast – they are made to enjoy right from the refrigerator. If you prefer your meat warmed, gently heat on low heat, only by the slice, not heating the entire ham or turkey breast. Heating may cause the meat to dry out and lose flavor.
Store for Future Use
Honey Baked Ham and Turkey Breasts can be frozen for up to six weeks. To freeze unused portions of Ham or Turkey after opening, wrap them in aluminum foil and freeze within five days from receipt. To serve after freezing, remove from the freezer and place in refrigeration for 24-48 hours to thaw before serving. Once thawed, the Ham and Turkey will keep fresh for two days.
Slicing and Sectioning
Honey Baked Ham and Turkey Breasts are pre-sliced. To release the slices, separate them gently with a knife.
Honey Baked Hams are pre-sliced in a spiral. You may also prefer to section the ham into smaller portions. To section:
1. Using a knife, cut around the bone of the Ham.
2. Cut along the natural muscle lines to remove the top section of slices.
3. Cut straight down from the base of the bone to release the remaining sections.
